Erika D. Hart
Erika believes in addressing each client’s situation on a personal level in order to understand and work towards identified needs. She has developed specialties in reorganization and insolvency, litigation and business law and personal and business bankruptcy. Consistent with the Firm’s focus of aiding clients in achieving their personal and business financial goals, Erika engages in an analysis of the circumstances of each client to minimize risks and maximize results and carries out business plans to achieve those objectives. Erika represents clients in complex commercial litigation in state, federal and bankruptcy court and as part of out of court workouts and resolution of disputes. She has been designated as a Super Lawyer and Rising Star as published in DBusiness Magazine.
Erika’s clients include:
- A Tier One automotive supplier having sales of $50 million in its restructuring and sale in a Chapter 11 (stamping)
- The shareholder of a Tier One automotive supplier in Chapter 11 (plastics) in which claims against the real property owned by the shareholder housing the operations and on his personal guaranty of the corporate debt were successfully defended.
- A national specialty retail chain in its Chapter 11 reorganization and sale
- Real estate developers in and out of court restructuring, negotiations with lenders, defense of receivership actions and in defense of actions on personal guarantees
Erika completed the Institute of Continuing Legal Education's Probate and Estate Planning Certificate Program.
