Steven W. Rhodes Consumer Bankruptcy Conference presented by the Consumer Bankruptcy Association
Attorney Dean R. Nelson, Jr., recently presented at the annual Steven W. Rhodes Consumer Bankruptcy Conference, an annual conference attended by hundreds of local bankruptcy attorneys, judges, and other insolvency professionals. Dean, along with Judge John T. Gregg and attorneys Michael Ardelean and Jill Gies, addressed ethical considerations in the bankruptcy context. The panel addressed, among other topics, the applicable ethical rules of professional conduct, bankruptcy code sections, and bankruptcy rules and their impact on bifurcated fee arrangements in bankruptcy and conflicts of interest arising in the context attorney fee applications.
